The Buddhist Art of Dealing with Difficult People Compassion and wisdom are the two central values in Buddhism. Compassion can be a balm for healing and, at the same time, a shield and a weapon — something we can wield to defend our peace when dealing with people who are difficult to tolerate, with whom conversations easily spiral into arguments or emotional turmoil. This has happened to me many times, and I know it will keep happening throughout my life. But I believe that practicing compassion, supported by wisdom and clear understanding — the removal of ignorance and delusion — can help us navigate such situations with clarity and strength. Buddhism teaches loving-kindness ( mettā ) for everyone, including ourselves. When faced with a difficult person or situation, it helps to remember two key truths: 1.  ब्राह्मणवाद आज के समय में ऐसे टैबू है कि ब्राह्मण खुद ब्राह्मणवाद को गाली देते हैं। जबकि ब्राह्मण ही हिन्दू धर्म का मूल है। अगर आप ब्राह्मण हैं, तभी आप हिन्दू होने का सबसे अधिक लाभ ले सकते हैं। और हिन्दू की भी सबसे ज़्यादा आध्यात्मिक वृद्धि तभी होती है जब वह खुद को ब्राह्मण मानता है। ब्राह्मणवाद हिन्दू धर्म में इस प्रकार लिप्त है कि ब्राह्मणवाद ही हिन्दू धर्म है। हिन्दू धर्म में वर्णवाद है जिसमें ब्राह्मण का सबसे उच्च स्थान है। आज के समय में इसको लोग बुरी बात मानते हैं। पर इस चीज़ को मानकर ही हिन्दू की अपनी उन्नति हो सकती है। जो किए जाने की ज़रूरत है, वह ठीक उल्टा है। ब्राह्मण को ख़राब या विलेन बनाने की जगह हिन्दू सारे ब्राह्मण स्वयं बन जाएं, इसी में हिन्दू समुदाय को सबसे ज़्यादा लाभ है। नहीं तो जो हिन्दू ब्राह्मण नहीं हैं, वह आधा धर्म का या फिर एक चौथाई धर्म का ही सिर्फ लाभ ले रहे हैं। इसलिए आज की ज़रूरत यह है कि हर जाति अपने आप को ब्राह्मण घोषित करे एवं हिन्दू धर्म का असली लाभ ले। ब्राह्मणवाद कोई श्राप नहीं, एक उपचार है।

जी हां, यही सच्चाई है। हर इंसान का बुढ़ापा आता है और ऐसा लग रहा की हमारे प्रिय मुख्यमंत्री का भी यही समय आ गया है।  कई दिनों से मिल रहे थे संकेत 2020 के चुनावी नतीजों के बाद से नीतीश कुमार के व्यवहार में बदलाव समय समय पर निकल कर सामने आते रहा है।  तेजस्वी यादव के साथ बहस : सबसे पहले विधान सभा में उन्होंने अपना आपा खोया और तेजस्वी यादव को बुरा भला कहने लगे। इसके बाप को मैने मुख्यमंत्री बनाया, दोस्त का बेटा है इसलिए चुप रहते हैं। हालांकि उनके इस वक्तव्य में भाषा की शालीनता अभी भी बरकरार थी इसलिए इसपर किसी ने ज्यादा ध्यान नहीं दिया। विधान सभा में विधायकों की पिटाई : बिहार विधान सभा में हंगामा होना कोई नई बात नही। पहले भी लोग स्पीकर के टेबल तक आते थे विरोध करने। पर इस बार विधायक जी ने स्पीकर से विधेयक ले फाड़ डाला और टेबल को भी नही बक्षा। इसपर क्रोधित हो मुख्यमंत्री ने पुलिस से विधायकों को उठवाकर बाहर रखवा दिया। पर बात इतनी पर नही रूकी। सुरक्षा बलों द्वारा विधायकों को पुलिस की मार भी झेलनी पड़ी।  मीडिया के साथ गुस्सा करना : समय समय पर नीतीश कुमार मीडिया से क्रोधित होते हुए एव...

Knowledge is necessary for virtue: As per Socrates, knowledge is necessary to achieve excellence(or virtue). Be it a shoemaker, to make good shoes he must have knowledge of what good shoes are and how to make them. Similarly for life in general,  to lead a good life, one needs knowledge of what a good life is composed of. Knowledge will definitely lead to virtue: Also if one has and truly has the knowledge of which actions make for a good life, he shall not do otherwise and shall only take actions that lead to a good life, hence signifying that knowledge will lead to virtue and attaining knowledge is attaining virtue hence, knowledge is virtue. What is a good life? Good life is not pleasure: Some contemporary teachers of Socrates called 'Sophists' preached that the way to attain happiness in life is to pursue the pleasures of it. It is to gain wealth, power, fortune, etc. Sophists preached that doing these was akin to attaining virtue.  Socrates however differed from this. ...

हालांकि 2020 का बिहार चुनाव बीते काफी समय हो गया, पर हाल की घटनाओं ने एक बार फिर उस ओर हमारा ध्यान इस ओर किया है। उस चुनाव में अलग अलग पार्टियां अपने अपने एजेंडे और चुनावी वादे लेकर मैदान में उतरे थे।  जेडीयू की ओर से सात निश्चय पार्ट 2 की बात की गई, तो राजद ने 10 लाख सरकारी नौकरी की बात रखी जिसपे बीजेपी ने 19 लाख रोजगार सृजन का वादा कर दिया। इन सब के बीच, बिहार की जनता में अच्छे वोट की पकड़ रखने वाली लोजपा ने भी अपना चुनावी फॉर्मूला रखा और बिहार फर्स्ट बिहारी फर्स्ट का नारा दिया।  बिहार चुनाव के नैरेटिव की कहानी इस नारे के कॉन्टेक्स्ट में यह बात पे ध्यान देना जरूरी है कि 2020 में नीतीश राज के 15 साल पूरे हुए थे और उन्होंने बिहार में इतने समय में आखिर क्या खास कर लिया पर बहस छिड़ी थी। इसमें जेडीयू की ओर से विकास के कार्य की एक लंबी लिस्ट दी जा रही थी और नीतीश कुमार की विकास पुरुष वाली इमेज पर फिर से सवारी करने को तैयारी हो रही थी। ऐसे में जेडीयू में ही एक समय काफी ऊंचे स्थान पर रहने वाले प्रशांत किशोर एक नया तर्क सामने रखते है की नीतीश कुमार चाहे जितना विकास का दावा कर ले, पर ...
